Seeking motivated individuals to join an immunology/structural biology laboratory in the Division of Biology. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary research team to study anti-HIV antibodies as part of an effort to develop a novel HIV vaccine.
The candidate will perform tissue culture and mammalian cell transfection, as well as molecular biology tasks including protein expression and purification (affinity and size exclusion chromatography), PCR, subcloning, and maintaining records.
This position requires a BS in biological related science or equivalent in education, and one or more years of related lab experience.
Experience in tissue culture is required. Basic knowledge of working in a biological laboratory.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work in a team environment are required.
A background in immunology or molecular biology is highly desirable.
