We are currently seeking a Research Technician for the Silver Spring, Maryland area.
The contractor shall be cross trained in optimizing and operating multiple specialized assay platforms to include ELISA, IFA, Luminex, and biosensor technology.
The contractor shall have the broad knowledge base of malaria in order to troubleshoot and further expand laboratory capabilities.
The contractor shall be qualified to perform multiple assay platforms and ensure high sample throughput to maintain the Malaria Serology Laboratory’s capacity to perform the high volume of sample analysis required to meet the demands of the USMMVP, MMRP, and the MSL’s non-DoD funders (USAID and PATH-MVI).
Bachelor degree in the biological sciences
At least 2 year experience in ELISA assay. Experience in Luminex and IFA assays is highly desired
Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
