Working on a North Carolina State University project monitoring American Oystercatcher (Haematopus palliatus) reproduction. Duties will include: surveying for oystercatchers, nest searching, nest and chick monitoring.

Minimum Experience/Education
B.S. in Biological Sciences or other related field

Departmental Required Skills
Ability to handle tedious tasks and working in the field for long hours; ability to handle long days in direct sunlight, heat, humidity and bugs; strong observational skills; strong attention to detail; self-driven with demonstrated ability to work efficiently independently; flexible with the ability to work as a team player; must be willing and able to acquire ATV safety certification.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Experience monitoring birds and observing and recording bird behavior.
