Responsible for operating and doing routine maintenance on research units. Research units simulate various processing units such as refining hydroprocessing and reforming units. Routine maintenance includes installing high pressure tubing, valves and pumps.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Follows safe work practices and guidelines.
Operates and troubleshoots multiple research unit with limited direction from supervisor.
Monitors and inspects operating conditions.
Records observations, actions, and data into log sheet.
Controls operating parameters using computer control system.
Use computer control system to monitor research unit operation and diagnose operational problems.
Samples various process fluids and gases.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License
COBRA testing required
Requires both good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to move 55 gallon drums weighing up to 500 pounds with the aid of mechanical devices.
Ability to lift and carry 5 gallon containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work on ladders and manlifts at various heights.
This is a safety sensitive position.
Previous operating experience.
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
