Act as lead worker and coordinates research activities, efforts & projects (e.g., coordinates with other Unclaimed Funds sections, outside agents or consultants to find rightful owners/potential claimants of safe deposit contents); responsible for coordinating research for media/phone bank results and provides documentation of findings to the examiner staff for review; may provide training for lower-level researchers, and other division/department staff on a rotational or project basis as it relates to media events (e.g., phone banks, conferences, fairs or other media involved events); independently coordinates and/or provides research on behalf of, or for outside governmental agencies, businesses (e.g., universities, churches, schools, insurance companies, financial institutions, etc.); and provides documentation of findings; receives completed documentation for review and processing and/or forwards to examiner staff or supervisory staff for review; independently coordinates special projects assigned by management staff involving research activities; provides and receives documentation for appropriate results; and provides statistical reports to supervisor.
Reviews and analyzes problem or issues relating to customer inquiries and/or complaints, and provides solutions or results; prepares and records statistics for review and evaluation. Makes suggestions and/or design forms to be used for specialized projects (e.g., media events/phone banks, conferences, fairs, meetings etc.).
Serves as point of contact in the area of research and may provide direction and training for examiner staff, support staff, supervisory staff (i.e., contact holder and/or customer to obtain additional information necessary to determine, clarify, or confirm the potential property in our records etc.); replies to requests in person, via phone, and/or email; may represent or provide information representing the division in meetings with government, the holders and/or the public.
