The internet is a dangerous place for users. Every day tens of thousands of computers are compromised for the purposes of conducting abusive and fraudulent activity, resulting in millions of dollars in property damage, lost revenue and lost productivity. The Windows Services Safety Platform is responsible for protecting hundreds of millions of users from malicious actors on the internet. Every day our award-winning Smartscreen technologies deployed in Internet Explorer, Outlook.com and Messenger take action to prevent the spread of malware and spam, and to keep user accounts in the right hands.

We are seeking a Researcher to drive the development of novel technologies in the areas of malicious binary and app analysis, compromised infrastructure detection, drive-by and exploit detection and general internet safety. You will conduct cutting-edge research aimed at driving new product features and improvements that enhance user safety with world-wide impact. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in one or more of malware analysis, code de-obfuscation, cryptanalysis, machine learning and data mining, and related areas. Candidates with a Master's degree or higher, or commensurate experience will be considered, with preference for a recent or nearly completed PhD.

Become an internet crime-fighter with internet-scale superpowers, and help us put a stop to abuse and fraud on the internet.
