ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:|
Implements data collection protocols, including interviews, observations, surveys, etc.
Conducts literature reviews and bibliographic searches.
Creates and maintains research databases.
Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of research and evaluation team projects.
Drafts briefs analyzing issues or problems and synthesizes findings into reports.
Presents research results in written form, including summarizing results of data analyses, writing sections of reports, preparing tables and graphs, and/or helping revise reports. Designs presentations relative to the findings.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong clarity of writing of technical and non-technical documents.
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail in all developed products.
Solid knowledge of research and evaluation methods,both qualitative and quantitative.
Advanced statistical knowledge.
Strong skills in manipulating small and large datasets, including the merging of multiple data sets and merging through the use of algorithmic or probabilistic matching methods, using software such as SAS, SPSS, or Microsoft Access.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with survey design and online survey software.
Ability to produce tables, graphs, figures, and documents of complex format with little or no direction.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work on assigned projects with little supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree preferred in education research, social science research field, or a related research field. Ph.D. coursework desirable.
