About Augustana’s Residence Life Program : The Residence Life program is grounded in a commitment to supporting each student's academic pursuits and to contributing to their personal growth through a wide variety of programs and activities. Three-fourths of the student body lives on-campus in residence halls, apartments and theme houses.
Position Summary : This position intentionally engages with students by creating a welcoming and supportive community environment. Residence hall directors facilitate positive student relationships, encourage involvement, and promote ethical student development.
The residence hall director is responsible for the administration of a residence hall for approximately 200-300 students. This position provides support and supervision to student staff, participates in social and educational program development, supports the College’s mission, vision, and core values, and collaborates with other departments to provide comprehensive service to students.
Each residence hall director is responsible for a collateral assignment. These assignments may fall within, but are not limited to, the following areas; residence life administration, student conduct, academic support and career services, new student orientation, and leadership development.
This is a 12-month (August through July), full-time, live-in position.
