- This position is only open to students currently enrolled in USU Eastern classes. Under the direction of the Residence Life Coordinator and the Area Coordinator, the Resident Advisor is a student leader position. It is a 9-month live-in position with primary responsibilities in the areas of programming and community building in Housing.
Participate in weekly Residence Life meetings Perform Health & Safety Checks 5 Residential Life Office Hours per week Plan and implement weekly programs to meet the social and educational needs and interests of residents Report any incidents Build relationships with residents and be a resource to them. Assist in the opening and closing of Residence Halls Other tasks as assigned May have on-call hours night and weekends
1. Currently be enrolled in a minimum of 12-credit hours through USU EASTERN during semesters of employment 2. Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 3. Have no active or pending conduct sanctions through the Associate Vice Chancellor' Office 4. Complete SLSC 1150 (College Student Affairs) with a minimum of a B average 5. Must maintain an average rating of "Good" on semester evaluations
Have one year of experience living on campus.
Office Environment: Employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
