Essential Job Duties:|
Care & Customer Management
Carries out daily plan of care including all aspects of basic daily living and personal care needs
Carries out daily activities as scheduled.
Serves and assists with meals
Provides medication reminders to residents as permitted under Ohio law
Knows location of assigned residents at all times
Identifies and addresses resident needs through verbal and non-verbal communication
Assists ill, upset/angry residents
Monitors residents' general medical condition and report changes to Charge Nurse
Expectations Management & Administration & Reporting
Completes all necessary documentation.
Completes routine light housekeeping and laundry tasks for the unit, such as emptying wastebaskets, cleaning tables after meals, etc. and reports any hazardous conditions to the Charge Nurse.
Informs Charge Nurse of supply and equipment needs.
Willingly and consistently shares opinions and observations of departmental operations with Charge Nurse.
Attends in-service and all employee meetings monthly.
Quality & Compliance Management
Maintains confidentiality of resident care information.
Follows infection control policies, fire and safety policies, and practices good body mechanics.
Education/Experience - Minimum Requirements :
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
Must successfully complete Medication Reminder Training program.
Must successfully complete First Aid training initially and recertify as required.
Must successfully complete a basic skills and customer service ability assessment.
Experience in working with older adults preferred.
