FUNCTION: Provides Activities of daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) services to residents in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP). Supervise or assist residents with personal care services, which include self administered medication management, activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) as identified in the ISP and assigned by the Nurse and in compliance with the state statutes. Supervision includes reminding and/or observing residents while they perform activities. Assistance includes either physical assistance or standby supervision. Provides support to new resident assistants. May provide some laundry and housekeeping tasks. May act as shift leader as established by community standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Must demonstrate competency in the following areas:
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
- Freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills.
- Must be 18 years of age.
