Full-time position available to include weekend shifts and weekday shifts. Responsible for providing proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the Job Corps program. Essential functions include:
Direct dormitory activities;
Patrol and monitor dormitories and center as required to ensure safety and proper behavior of students, and resolve potential or occurring problems;
Assist with recreational activities for students on- and off-center;
Direct students or assist in the cleanup and maintenance of dormitories;
Provide proactive conflict resoltuion and refer students for counseling or other activities as needed;
Document shift activities in required form;
Assist in coordinating and instituting programs that foster student retention;
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required. One year experience in counseling, social work, rehabilitation or vocational guidance preferred. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
