Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years of relevant work experience or high school diploma and demonstrated success in a similar position for at least 5 years.
Excellent customer service and time management skills required.
Must be able to work effectively with minimal direct oversight and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines for several individuals.
Must be able to juggle multiple demands, work styles, and needs.
Demonstrated skill in use of Macintosh or IBM-compatible computers and with software including Word and PowerPoint including use of tables and merge documents, constructing charts and graphs, embedding graphics and objects, etc.
Familiarity with bibliographic software (e.g. Reference Manager), scanning, slide-making, Medline searching, etc. preferred.

Provide research-oriented administrative support for a group of research investigators. In conjunction with Principal Investigators and other staff in an assigned group, assist in the preparation of grant applications and manuscripts for publication and develop presentation materials for presentations and posters. Coordinate seminars, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements and otherwise provide broad support for investigators in carrying out the administrative aspects of their research programs. Serve as an information conduit between Research Administration and investigators, sharing information and collecting and submitting materials as requested.
1. Provide support for developing grant applications, protocols, manuscripts, and other similar documents
Provide sophisticated word processing support for typing, formatting and output of documents
Integrate graphics, pictures, charts and other elements into documents as required.
Develop and maintain CV’s, biosketches and other similar documents, including maintaining investigator and research program boilerplate, and conduct research as requested on the internet or library.
2. Provide support for developing presentation materials.
Using sophisticated skills in Power Point and other software applications, assist in developing slide and poster presentations.
Coordinate generation of hard copy slides or posters for investigators as required using internal and external resources.
Receive visitors and incoming calls in a friendly and efficient manner directing them to appropriate destinations, as required.
Schedule meetings including managing calendars for individuals as requested and coordinating meeting locations, catering, AV, etc., as required.
Make travel arrangements and coordinate authorizations and expense report forms, as required.
Type, copy, distribute and file correspondence, reports and other documents as required.
Coordinate purchasing of office supplies and other goods as needed.

3. Coordinate information dissemination and collection for investigator group as required by Stokes, CHOP or clinical/academic departments.
Post and distribute information provided by central administrative groups.
Collect and compile information required by central administrative groups.
Coordinate mandatory activities such as fire safety training, TB screening, etc. for assigned groups.
Other duties as assigned.
