Reporting to the Director of Resource Development, this individual manages fundraising and sales strategies to support the organization in securing exhibitors and sponsors for the annual Convention as well as other events throughout the year. The Resource Development & Corporate Alliances Manager is also responsible for managing relationships with national sponsors and other corporate partners, leading internal cross-functional efforts to meet sponsor deliverables and requests, generating sponsorship for additional events and programs, securing digital and print advertising, and assisting the department with other fundraising objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary with individual assignments.)
Responsible for exhibitor and sponsorship sales for annual National PTA Convention and four other events throughout the year
Leads exhibition logistics, sponsor recognition and sponsored events at Convention and other events
Teams with various departments and outside contractors on convention planning
Responsible for digital and print advertising in all media assets, including magazine, website and e-newsletters including liaisioning with media representatives
Develops prospectus materials for various sponsorship and fundraising opportunities, including convention, events, advertising, etc.
Responsible for cultivation and stewardship of all corporate supporters
Manages relationships with national sponsors and other corporate partners, including stewardship, tracking, and meeting contractual obligations. Collaborates with various departments to ensure that all partner contractual obligations are met timely and satisfactorily
Participates in annual budget planning process
Maintains highest level of confidentiality of donor and potential donor information
Works with Director of Resource Development & Corporate Alliances to define and prioritize personal and departmental goals
