Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the respiratory therapist assists residents of all ages who suffer from pulmonary disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing, respiratory therapists perform relevant assessments, determine plans for treatment and control patients’ blood-oxygen levels, as well as set up and utilize cardiopulmonary equipment and supplies needed to assist or monitor the residents' breathing function as per physician orders and each resident's plan of care.
Current Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner license; experience with various types of ventilators and tracheotomy treatments preferred.

positions: This individual must be self-motivated to accomplish
assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and lead team members
toward accomplishing common goals.
All positions: Must be free
from communicable diseases. Recommend immunizations be current in
accordance to recommendations by CDC (unless contraindicated due to
allergy), or natural immunity acquired by illness with specific
disease. Must pass criminal background and abuse registry checks and be
eligible for unrestricted employment.
