Working directly and with associates, coordinates ad group activities and develops member participation. Develops and expands advertising groups to create entities with sales volumes large enough to qualify ad group members for cooperative funds, maximizes promotional funds, and gains economies of scale in advertising. Achieves ad group budget and profitability objectives. Work with vendors to negotiate deals and promotions.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Position requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or related field. In the absence of formal education, experience that is equivalent and directly related may be substituted.
· Position requires at three to six years of retail store experience with experience working with retail pricing, allowances, gross margin calculations and ad markdown procedures.
· Must have experience in laying out ads and selecting ad items.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Position requires an in-depth knowledge of retail advertising and management of member supported ad groups.
