Job Summary:

The Retail Business Development Consultant will work with the BTM team to identify new business opportunities and with expanding BTM revenues through business development activities, sales and marketing. BTM markets its services to provide business solutions to leading retailers using custom solutions, packaged retail software, such as Oracle Retail and other partners, and to meet the objectives of our retail clients. The Retail Business Development Consultant will engage in direct to market business development and sales generating activities with client prospects, business partners and the retail industry. The candidate should have a specific understanding of retail software and systems, combined with experience with delivery and implementation of retail software solutions. The Retail Business Development Consultant will interact directly with client representatives to understand their business objectives, strategies and projects and work with BTM delivery team to develop and present our solutions.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop relationships and business opportunities for new and existing accounts
  • Proven experience in business development and sales process, as well as generating and achieving sales goals
  • Proven experience in driving new business development and sales opportunities individually and as part of the business development team
  • Serve as a key member on the business development team
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with key client representatives
  • Participate in presenting BTM solutions, including implementation solution and approaches with various retail enterprise systems
  • A broad understanding of retail software and systems and their functions within a retail enterprise environment
  • Partner with delivery team to develop delivery solutions to meet client needs
  • Ongoing collaboration with delivery team to ensure solution is delivered as designed and meets client requirements and expectations
  • During proposal process, support project planning and supporting tasks to manage expectations, maintain timeline and meet goals for project deliverables
  • Participate in business development activities that includes participating in sales meetings and calls with potential clients
  • Supporting the creation of business proposals including the review and response to RFP
    • 's Follow BTM business development methodologies and procedures May perform other job related duties as assigned Education, Experience and Other Skills: Knowledge and understanding in Retail Enterprise Systems and business process flows More than 5 years experience in retail industry, sales and business development, sales support and process Consulting and services experience focused in retail Knowledge and understanding in retail implementations and delivery and solving business problems with software and technology Experience in client and account support or management Experience developing relationships and business opportunities from new and existing accounts Bachelor's degree in related field

    • Must have the ability to build relationships and develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical timelines in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be confident working with all levels of executive management and client representatives

    Other Requirements :
    • Travel up to 50% of the time
