POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for directly managing the Retail Operations personnel and functions of the Retail Operations Department. Requires a working knowledge of end to end processes, since decisions have significant impact affecting multiple and diverse operations and product lines. Resolves broad operations issues and coordinates activities and processes within line of business/operations segments. Identifies, analyzes and resolves complex problems related to product lines or functions using general practices and precedents to resolve. Ensure proper communication and compliance of company and regulatory policies affecting areas managed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Understand and train for Harland ILS operations systems (E3).
  • Demonstrate effective personal computing skills, and be able to train employees on the use of all company provided automation solutions.
  • Manage and support workloads for all Processor’s and Junior Processors.
  • Communicate/work side by side with Branch Managers on Processing.
  • Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
  • Provide management reports for the following:
    • Pipeline report by Processor/Jr. Processor
    • Closed/Funded report by Processor/Jr. Processor
    • Manage processing staff within the SLA’s required by Stonegate
OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • Provide leadership for all employees by always adhering to the highest ethics, fair and equal treatment of all employees, business partners, and loan applicants.

  • Ability to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
  • 5 years’ experience managing and recruiting qualified, high performance employees and a history of holding individuals accountable to individual and company goals preferred.
  • 10 years of mortgage lending industry experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • High level of expertise in concepts, principles, and practices of mortgage lending and operations. This would include Fannie Mae, FHA guidelines, RESPA, Reg Z, TILA, and secondary market/investor guidelines.
  • Excellent computer skills including extensive spreadsheet, database management, and various LOS Systems.
  • Proficient with commonly used office software, including but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as telephone and internet communications.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
  • Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve problems.
  • Ability to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively – both in written and verbal form.
  • Desire to have a basic understanding of the mortgage process/industry.
