Plato's Closet® is now hiring a Retail Sales Associate for this location. The part-time to full-time Sales Associate is responsible to perform a wide range of duties related to customer service and satisfaction, achievement of store sales goals, and inventory management/promotion. The Sales Associate will help achieve business growth and profitability by learning and maintaining knowledge of our product lines, upscale brands, and the pricing of our gently-used, high-end clothing and accessories for teens and young adults. The ideal Retail Sales Associate candidate will have a high school diploma (continuing education or coursework desired), a minimum of one year retail sales experience, a strong sense of style and style trends, an engaging and upbeat personality, exceptional interpersonal skills, an affinity for sales, and professionalism beyond reproach.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Stay 'leading edge' on style trends in order to provide our guests with style-conscious consultation
-- Greet our guests with a sincere and helpful approach
-- Make style suggestions that meet customer expectations in terms of dress/attire/budget
-- Maintain a 'white glove' store atmosphere in terms of cleanliness, order, displays, inventory, and the like
-- Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocol
-- Develop proficiency in operating computerized sales tracking system for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc.
-- Assist in store operations to include merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention
-- Promote, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in concert with the Store Manager and President of Swan Arts, Inc.
-- Perform other duties as required
