Retirement Business Services (RBS) provides trust, custody, trading, and technical services through The Charles Schwab Bank, Charles Schwab &Co., Inc. and Schwab Retirement Technologies. RBS is growing rapidly by providing services through more than three hundred relationships with Independent Recordkeepers and other Financial Intermediaries. Providing services to corporations is a primary Schwab initiative, and RBS leads the industry in servicing retirement plans through intermediary relationships.
Brief Description of Role:
The Client Service Team Manager will be responsible for a team of client service managers and analysts. This team provides the day to day administration and operational support to our clients. Client Service Mangers are the primary Independent Recordkeeper''s contact for all inquires and issues relating to their retirement plan business. The manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining procedures for the department, responding to escalated client issues, and managing client expectations. Occasional travel and client visits maybe required. The manager will work with clients to enhance existing products and acceptance of new products via client and industry feedback. The role may also include direct management of client accounts. This person will also maintain continuous communication and collaboration with internal departments such as Conversions, Operations and Compliance.
- 5+ years of of retirement plan experience is required
- 3+ years of management experience preferred
- Third party administrator and trust experience preferred
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven relationship management experience (both internally and externally) as well as, the ability to work effectively with teams
- Proven training and presentation skills
- Strong functional skills with business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Well organized, self-motivated and effective with multi-tasking.
