OpticsPlanet, Inc is seeking a full-time Returns Specialist to join our Returns Team. As a part of the Team, you will be responsible for executing the full life cycle of customer returns from receipt to resolution, then coordinating the process of returning defective merchandise to the appropriate manufacturers. We are looking for a candidate with good people skills, positive attitude, and ability to multi-task and follow direction. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carefully inspect returned merchandise; escalate issues to Product Specialists on as needed basis
  • Follow established criteria to identify and report all shortages, damages, defects, and possibly counterfeited goods received from Customers
  • Accurately process customer returns in accordance with established guidelines using internal software and tools
  • Facilitate Vendor communication in obtaining pre-approval for the merchandise which needs to be shipped to Vendors
  • Assist in preparing and packing merchandise to be shipped to Vendors
  • Assist with pre-authorizing of certain customer return requests, when needed
  • Receive and properly resolve Customer complaints
  • Assist other Teams with returns-related issues in a timely manner
  • Meet productivity standards on both quantity and quality
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
  • High School Degree
  • Experience with email programs and Internet browsers
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written
  • Good Customer Service skills
  • Familiarity with Optics Planet Inc. products is a plus
  • Must be able to regularly lift 50+ pounds; significant portion of time is spent standing and/or walking
