THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION
The primary purpose of this position is to manipulate vendor usage reports for processing into the MedAssets internal sales tracking system.
Manipulate vendor sales reports to generate accurate data that is applied to monthly and quarterly reports using tracking systems VISION and Vendor Data Load.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manipulate electronic data into a format suitable for processing.
Research and resolve facility identification discrepancies
Review and enter volume reports into the MedAssets internal sales tracking system.
Process reports that identify sales trends for internal customers
Analyze and research vendor reports to assure trends and anomalies are tracked appropriately
Investigate and identify MedAssets internal facility number and input hard copy reports into the MedAssets internal sales tracking system.
Correspond with vendors to resolve simple issues.
Developing a relationship with the vendors and internal customers to resolve issues and opportunities.
Manipulate the vendor sales reports which in turn effects, sharebacks to our vendors and members, accounting which effect the numbers that are applied to monthly and quarterly reporting to corporate/Wall Street , gap reporting, QUOS, sales, rebates, this is done in the VISION and VDL (vendor data load) tracking systems
Audit all vendors and members addresses to assure accuracy for reporting purposes. Must communicate with those which have a discrepancy.
Process reports for internal departments and divisions within MedAssets that indentify sales trends, which are used for forecasting and can be used to identify possible sales opportunity and savings for the customers.
Analyze and research the vendor reports on as needed basis, contacting LOC, Negotiators and vendors to make sure trends and anomalies are tracked appropriately.
Analyze and audit to indentify areas that are assigned inaccurately by facility name, address, location and HIN and DEA and GLN.
Ability to process files with accuracy and attention to detail with proper documentation and notes folders.
Must be cross trainable in all aspects of Revenue reporting.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
Finance or accounting background, preferred
Minimum 5 years experience with spreadsheets and analytical data
User knowledge of database structures and reporting.
Proven knowledge and experience in research and use of search engines
Ability to handle tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products.
Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary functional and technical knowledge for task completion, keeps job knowledge current, applies knowledge and skills that lead to success in the job.
