We are recruiting for a Revenue Cycle Billing Manager to work from LFN’s Aurora, OR Administrative Office. The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for understanding, optimizing and managing the revenue cycle related to patient billing. This position requires an in-depth understanding of coding and compliance rules and regulations; accurate claims submissions, and administration of billing and associated processes.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in revenue cycle management processes pursuing reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and all other payer classes with a strong understanding of billing processes and requirements
- B.S. or B.A. degree required, ideally in Business Administration or a related field
- Experience with Zoll software or other billing software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel and Word
- Thorough understanding of collection agency interactions and communications
- Previous involvement with provider contract negotiations
- Working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing processes and requirements
- Experience in EMS is preferable
- Coding certification preferred
The Revenue Cycle Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This position must be able to develop, maintain and communicate expertise related to matters specific and unique to pursuing reimbursement for air and ground transport organizations along with general revenue cycle management processes. The position is also responsible for ensuring all necessary provider enrollment information with Medicare and Medicaid is completed and kept current, managing patient accounts referred for charity care, including reviewing account history, charity application, and credit report and providing recommendations to management. Additional duties include reviewing patient accounts referred to collections and monthly collection reports to ensure collections process is being accurately followed, reviewing all charting related denials and providing education & feedback regarding denials that impact revenue flow and/or capture, evaluating refund requests for necessity, recommending approval, and provide recommendations to reduce future refunds and overseeing contracts or billing arrangements with various insurers or outside agencies.
