We provide customized drug testing services for healthcare professionals to help them to mitigate the abuse and misuse of prescription drugs. In addition to our urine and oral fluid drug tests, we also offer a saliva-based Pharmacogenetic Test to detect genetic variations in enzymes associated with the metabolism of medications commonly prescribed to patients suffering from debilitating chronic pain and pain related-effects.

This position will be responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of payments.

Coordinate with Cash Posting, Claims Management and Finance to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Review and analyze reimbursement trends and explain fluctuations. Performs statistical analysis.

Assist with the monthly financial close process in regards to revenue and accounts receivable. Prepare supporting schedules for monthly revenue recognition process.

Timely and accurate balancing of all electronic and manual payments based on daily bank activity.

Monthly reconciliation of over 200,000 payments, maintaining the status of open cash batches and track the itemization of all unposted bank deposits.

Performs the tracking, research and resolution of identified discrepancies. Quantifies and documents revenue implications of payment discrepancies.

Contact the bank for any banking errors that need to be researched and follow up to ensure the problem is resolved.

Perform short-term cash flow projections based on recent payor behavior and forecasted volumes. Provide management with financial indicators as needed.

Conduct internal audits/quality-control checks to ensure appropriate cash applications.

Assist with special projects on as-needed basis.

Gathers data from various sources to document and analyze statistics and financial information necessary to complete projects. Generates various financial reports or ad hoc reports that enable management to control and analyze operations.

Develops strong and effective relationships with peers in groups throughout the Billing Department in order to exchange information and resolve issues of financial impact.

Ensures that clients’ HIPAA, Confidentiality and Compliance standards and policies are adhered to at all time, as well as Company policies and practices in Compliance when dealing with customer service and vendor interaction.

Contributes to the development and documentation of reconciliation workflows and educational tools used to facilitate cross training and internal controls.

Required Skills

Medical coding, terminology and insurance knowledge

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.

Experience with third party payers/billing a big plus, but not required.

3-5 years experience preparing and analyzing financial results. Experience in bank reconciliation and cash flow projections.
