PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position will support Enterprise Risk Management(ERM) in the development and implementation of technology initiatives supporting the business and international risk initiatives, Sarbanes Oxley compliance program and the SOC1 external audit reviews. The incumbent must have in-depth experience in operational and enterprise risk management to lead these initiatives on behalf of the business and international risk management groups.
The incumbent will also assist in the implementation of the T Rowe Price’s risk related strategy. This will include responsibilities for certain aspects of the risk assessment, risk reporting and documentation of the risk framework.
Develops project definition in partnership with Global Business Solutions and Technology(GBS&T) for multiple, concurrent projects or one large project for ERM. Defines the project requirements and deliverables. Develops and adjusts the project schedules and manages the schedule performance to the project plan schedule. Leads project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation on behalf of the ERM management team.
Leads business unit management in assessing risks within critical processes in operational or technology areas. Provides consultative guidance to process owners to assess risk and key controls at the process level. Monitors that any significant shortfalls/findings have a remediation plan and works with managers to ensure plans are completed. Independently assesses identified key controls and metrics to ensure that risks are sufficiently mitigated to prevent or detect unintended impact to our clients, business partners or the firm.
Facilitates internal project meetings within ERM obtaining requirements, providing updates and feedback on progress.
Manages project documentation and deliverables on behalf of the business risk and control initiatives to ensure they are complete, accurate and meet deliverables. Manages project risks throughout the project including project issues and revisions to requirements.
Develop enterprise risk management system(eGRC) questionnaires, update systems content and prepare ad hoc reporting as required. Incumbent must be resourceful, and use discretion and sound judgment in order to determine and/or develop the best way to manage and use data efficiently and effectively. Incumbent will be called upon to use creativity and technical skills in reporting and analysis for ERM and other TRP business units.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) preferred
Certifications in risk management beneficial
Experience with RSA Archer platforms
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
3- 5 years of risk management or audit experience preferably within the financial services industry
Operations experience within financial services industry
Knowledge of operational, technology or enterprise risk management
Experience successfully managing projects
Ability to translate non-technical concepts into technical terms
Self-motivated and self-directed while possessing experience in successfully working with cross functional teams
Excellent writing skills, oral communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated high-level of analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
