Maintenance Professional for Road Service Department

Universal Service Center Company (USCC) a maintenance subsidiary of Universal Truckload Services Inc. (UTSI) a publicly traded, primarily non-asset based provider of transportation services, is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable tractor trailer maintenance professional to work in our corporate headquarters in Warren, MI.
You will have the responsibility working in a fast pace environment in the Road Service Department with responsibilities for keeping equipment up and running in the most cost effective and timely manner.
This is a full time position, and candidates need to be flexible in working hours. The proper candidate will be able to make good decisions quickly based on current information, have good communication skills, able to converse with drivers (both company and owner operators), vendors, law enforcement officers, and various forms of emergency and government agencies in a friendly and professional manner.

Ideal candidates will have:
Hands on experience diagnosing and repairing class 8 equipment,
Experience working with vendors, emergency and on-road maintenance,
Self-motivated, a problem solver and decision maker,
An ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple calls
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer operations.
An interest in working in an office / professional setting
