      Description
      As a Robot Tender at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform Robotic Welding on a diversified line of standard welds and structural assemblies in accordance with welding requirements, dimensional and alignment specifications, and process guidelines.

      Job duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      *Establish fabrication guidelines including tack and pre-weld specifications
      *Per blueprints, robotically weld designated product to CAT quality specifications
      *Position tacked weldments or fabricated components in specified fixtures maintaining process consistency
      *Utilize Touch Sensing and Through Arc Seam Tracking to maintain proper weld disposition and conformity
      *Develop and maintain weld parameters per print specifications and/or established quality and process guidelines
      *Manage Robotic-welding cell to ensure cycle time conformance, on time delivery, and 5S requirements
      *Program, edit, and operate Robotic-welding system
      *Under general supervision, instructions provided on new work, variations, fit-up, programming and editing, welding difficulties
      *Responsible for process and final inspection of all products within that work cell
      *Work requires all necessary preparation work including pre-inspected qualified tacked weldments; gun and torch prep, and proper weld parameters.
      *·Work requires all necessary safety devices, material handling devices, robot operational features to be used in accordance with set guidelines
      *All other duties as assigned by your supervisor

      Qualifications

      Required Qualifications:

      *High School diploma and/or equivalent and one to two years of vocational trade school, plus three to four years of diversified welding
      *Reading and working from blueprints, programming and editing complex weldments, operating a highly technical robot, and work with select weld processes
      *Knowledge of welding methods, programming logic, welds parameters, and highly technical equipment
      *Having extensive experience in welding and fabrication
      *Highly skilled welders who are fully trained in the programming, operation, and management of a *Robotic welding cell

      Desired Qualifications:

      *Welding Tech Degree
