FLSA : Non-exempt

GOAL : The general purpose of the route Driver is to efficiently and effectively pickup documents from Mexico Express and King Express agencies and the concessionaries that have received respective documents. The Route Driver will drive a company car on short trips to carry out company business.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES :
Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.

Follow all company policies, safety rules and preferred work methods.

Deliver or pick up documents, collecting money from customers and changing it to money order and deliver for deposit.

Handle any customer complaints professionally.

Picking up or dropping off individuals.

Must have positive attitude.

Performs routine maintenance on vehicle as well as upkeep (clean vehicle) at the end of shift.

Report accidents and injuries including any damage to equipment or vehicle.

Good attendance and adherence to the work schedule.

Perform other task as directed by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge of the Southern California area.

Experience in handling money preferred.

A valid California Drivers License – (CDL) Class C.

Have CDL for at least 3 years (Class C).

Must have clean Driving Record (no moving violations or DUI’s).

Prior Courier experience – a plus.

Proven ability to interact with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the organization in a professional manner.

Proven ability to communicate well both in English/Spanish in order to tactfully understand, interpret and respond to internal and external customers.

Team player, self-motivated and able to work in a fast pace environment.

High School diploma or an equivalent degree.

Bilingual: English/Spanish – Required.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic operations.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or G.E.D. required

One year route delivery experience or applicable background driving

One year of verifiable commercial driving experience

WORKING CONDITIONS/ ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
PHYSICAL DEMANDS– Activities include talking, hearing, seeing, holding, grasping, reaching. Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time indoor and outside in varies types of weather. May also be required to lift and/or carry up to 35lbs.
