This position's main duties include all aspects of warehouse operations related to picking orders, loading and distributing products to customers on our trucks. This is a team-orientated position that requires the ability to communicate and work with a variety of individuals. This position is part warehouse and part driving.
Typical shift would be working in warehouse Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Wednesday - Friday delivering product to customers. Times may change, but with notice do to filling in on routes.
DUTIES
High level internal and external commutation verbally.
Pick all orders for route deliveries as needed.
Maintain at least a 99.25% picking accuracy
Help with all warehouse tasks as requested.
Deliver orders to customers.
Learn all routes as a back up driver.
Cover designated territory for deliveries when other drivers are on vacation or manpower requires back up.
Where appropriate, load your own route onto truck to ensure proper sequence.
Follow correct credit/return procedures.
Weigh truck when required.
Follow all company policies while on duty.
Fill out required paper work for expense report.
Report all truck damage and accidents as required.
Use cell phone to communicate any changes to sales.
Collect CODs for route delivery accounts as per payment terms indicating that collection is required on delivery of product.
Respond appropriately to customers concerns and questions, providing the best possible customer service.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse as needed.
Upon return, refuel truck in Coburg on way in, (unless truck is used for Eugene route).
After completing route, clean truck cab and box/trailer.
Put drums in appropriate area.
Using forklift and/or pallet jack, load and unload truck.
Palletize and stretch wrap picked orders.
Pre-trip on truck before leaving for route.
Make sure GPS is on before leaving for route.
Write missed ADP punches on time board after returning from over-night routes.
Understand and follow all SOPs pertaining to WH2 and Delivery Drivers and any others that may be relevant.
Always practice good safety habits.
Consistently lifting up to 60 lbs.
Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Run company errands as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Clean driver's record, Class A CDL license, general delivery driving ability, ability to load/unload products from truck continuously. Customer service and communication skills. *High level internal and external commutation verbally.
