Context Travel, an award-winning travel company located in Center City Philadelphia, is looking for a skilled Ruby programmer with a wide range of experience and skills to join it°s team as the technical lead. Responsibilities include taking over the management of our web app development from an outside consultant and executing a wide variety of projects, great and small. Applicants ought to write clean code and employ unit testing and other best practices along the way. Knowledge of git, ability to work in pivotal tracker and adhere to basic agile programming protocols are valuable skills. Applicant should also be comfortable with database design, javascript, html, css, and variety of other tools. Because we ’re a small, tech-focused company, this position also requires the candidate to have a wider vision than just the code in front of us at a given moment. We ’re looking for a systems-thinker and someone with a knack for problem-solving and architectural solutions. In some sense, for the right person, this job is a mini CIO position within the organization, reporting directly to the founders.
