General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Ruby Software Developer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nations fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and further advance GDAIS software systems and applications. The candidate will work under the direction of the team lead to help develop Ruby/ Ruby on Rails applications for the Strands development effort. This position is for a motivated developer experienced in an agile development environment. Candidates should possess inter- and intra-team skills that allow them to work effectively with external teams to capture requirements and implement said requirements within the development environment. A working knowledge of network designs, principles and practices is helpful.
- Experience with the Model–view–controller (MVC) software architecture pattern
- Knowledge of network designs, principles and practices
- Experience with XSLTs and XSDs, as well as front end user interface implementation
- Experience with MongoDB
- Experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

The Ruby Software Developer position requires a bachelors degree in a specialized area or equivalent field and eight to ten years of related experience; or masters degree and six to eight years of related experience.
TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
