Safety Supervisor: (SS)
• Effectively monitor the company Health and Safety programs at the project level
• Continually inspect the facilities, machinery, and safety equipment in order to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety policy / regulation compliance
• Routinely monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on the correct behaviors when observed
• Assist in developing Health and Safety training materials
• Assist in interpreting safety regulations for others
• Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employee exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards
• Assist in testing of air quality, noise, etc.. levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations
• Serve as the head of the Safety Committee and direct weekly/monthly meetings in the absence of PSM
• Leader in bringing all employees to a safety oriented approach of work
• Propose, organize and facilitate relevant safety trainings for all employees (task training, specific events,...)
• Review Job Hazard Analysis, S.L.A.M, and / or PHR’s
• Assist Supervision with root cause investigations, lessons learned and the development of solutions to resolve safety issues and ensure timeliness of corrective actions
• Conduct and/or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
• Conduct first aid treatment as needed
• Assist with developing and monitoring of safety recognition programs
• Accompany employees to any work-related medical visits in the absence of PSM
• Inform appropriate persons of injuries and illnesses
• Monitor Drug and Alcohol testing procedures
• Assist with conducting and setting up of Mass, Foremen’s, staff, schedule, and daily safety meetings
• Attend daily two-minute minders and stretch / flex
• Report to the Project Safety Manager
