Provides SAN storage management and administration support for all network server systems within the enterprise on various computer platforms. Serves as a senior level technical resource for the design and support of the storage systems(SAN) and VMWare for the enterprise as well as insure proper maintenance of management tools, documentation, and disaster recovery procedures. Provides mentoring support to tier 1 and tier 2 support groups. Works with system administration, network, and applications group and other departments to provide a stable and scaleable storage infrastructure. Provides technical, performance, and operational analysis for all SAN hardware in theDataCenterand makes recommendations for improvements with senior-level coordination with other related systems.
Minimum Qualifications :
Requires a Bachelors Degree and 3 years of related experience or Associates Degree with 5 years of related experience.
May substitute minimum qualifications with 7 years of continuous experience and/or education directly related to the job duties expressed within this document along with relevant industry certifications.
VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified IT Professional ( MCITP ) Enterprise Administrator and vendor supplied certifications are required upon hire or within 1 year of employment. Higher level certifications may be substituted. Prior experience with EMC and HP SANs required. Microsoft, Cisco, and Linux certifications preferred but not required.

Must be fully/independently technically competent and physically capable to perform computer duties as listed within. Must be able to rapidly read, comprehend, and put to practical use, a wide variety of technical literature. Must be able to translate technical information and procedures into user solutions. Must be able to write and speak clearly to communicate effectively with users. Must develop and produce without assistance presentation-quality User Requirements and documentation. Must impart confidence to the users. Must respond to emergencies in a timely manner. Must respond to and actively participate in disaster situations to restore information access to critical users such as administrators, doctors, nurses, and patients.
Requires occasional travel to other cities for seminars, professional training, new systems schools, and conferences and frequent personal visits to remote facilities for software installation, interviews, and problem determination/resolution. Requires manual dexterity operating a computer keyboard (alpha/numeric keying) and/or spatial device (such as 'Mouse/Track-ball') in fast/efficient manner. Must be able to visually interpret the computer monitor (distinguishing all colors for graphical user interface software) and interact with a variety of computer development software tools. Requires ability to read and comprehend extremely complex technical information both on the computer monitor and on printed material formats. Must be able to engage in telephone conversations with users of computer systems and vendors of Hardware/software (hearing/speaking). Must be able to listen and understand/interpret verbal user communication to gather/develop/discuss application system requirements and accurately record this information for future reference. Must be able to operate audio/visual equipment for system presentations. Must respond to emergency situations such as natural disasters and equipment/power failures and be able to communicate with emergency officers
