CSC's Federal Consulting Practice

CSC's Federal Consulting Practice is looking for SAP XI/PI Consultant’s
Senior SAP consultants play a leadership role on the project and are involved in all phases of a life cycle implementation, including blueprinting, gap analysis, mapping, prototypes, design, configuration, testing, go-live, user training and post production support. The consultant must be able to work with end users on the SAP application's integration and functionality; determine those technology inadequacies and /or deficiencies that can affect the functional area's ability to support or meet the organizational goals as well as lead enterprise applications integration efforts and oversee the validation of the associated work products. Senior consultants on the project will lead both small and medium size teams and must proactively educate both team members and the client with specific best practices. The sphere of influence for a Senior Consultant generally includes team leaders and project managers, vendor or contractor SME's, and limited exposure to project stakeholders. The consultant must be able to brief senior managers.
Ideal candidates will have minimum 5 years of PI experience and 10 years of experience in middleware working in SAP development. Experience working on a minimum of 2 full software lifecycle developments is also required. The consultant should have demonstrable skills of interfacing with customers and gathering requirements as necessary. The candidate needs to have depth and breadth in their core SAP expertise and experience in integration with an ERP environment. The individual should be capable of leading a mid size team with 5 - 10 resources and able to deliver solutions with limited guidance from project managers. Good writing and documentation skills are required and experience in the following is also required:
Development and Implementation of SAP PI Netweaver 7.1
Provide guidance, and give focus to best practices, development standards
Provide expertise with (SOA) Security Oriented Architecture and how it integrates
Develop Technical specifications for technical development
Perform/analyze integration testing
Prepare documentation on landscape of SAP PI Interfaces
SAP Functional Knowledge a plus – preferably in Shop Floor, Manufacturing, or Production Planning
Experience in the usage of third-party adapters, and configuring BPM (Business Process Management) interfaces
Familiarity with Bills of Material, Routings, Production Orders
Proficient in all areas of ABAP development especially interfaces
Knowledge or experience of Process Integration 7.1 (SOA Middleware)
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Experience in working on Department of Defense programs
NetWeaver PI Certification
Able to drive to a project plan and execute to meet deadlines
Has excellent communications, negotiation and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a dynamic team environment
Able to work with a diverse set of individuals

Interprets requirements data, maps current and future state business processes to the packaged application(s) being implemented, and develops plans to address functional gaps between the packaged application and the redesigned processes (Business).
Develops depth of implementation experience to address multiple integration points between functions, related interface and data conversion issues, and expanded setup and configuration requirements (Business).
Researches and presents information/data regarding how other companies in the client's industry are using specific application products to improve business performance (Business).
Builds on Catalyst and specific vendor methodology knowledge and blend methodologies appropriately to meet unique project and client needs (Methodology).
Leads a team of 6-10 resources (company, client and third-party resources) in area of expertise to conclusion of a project phase (Management).
Guides others in vendor programming languages and standards for interfaces and bolt-on components (Technical).
Manages client expectations and balances the needs of the company and the client to ensure satisfaction for both (Relationship Management).
Influences decisions and project direction at the executive level (Relationship Management).
Performs consultative selling and leverages business through superior delivery skills, client relations and subject matter expertise (Leverage).
Participates in proposal efforts and sales calls (Leverage).
Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel (Leadership).
Communicates in formal presentation settings including medium to large sized groups of key decision makers at the executive level; tailors presentations to needs and interests of the audience. Develops articles and white papers covering areas of expertise (Communication).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Six or more years of consulting experience with business analysis and software product implementation
Experience working with CSC Catalyst and/or equivalent client or vendor-mandated methodology
Experience working with the integrated structure of a complex software product suite
Experience working with how the client's current and future state business processes map to the packaged application being implemented
Two to five years of additional relevant experience in one or more business or industry specialty areas
Strong skills in solution demonstration lab (SDL) and prototyping techniques
Strong communication skills
Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity
Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and the company
Ability to adjust personal style to different situations
Willingness to travel
