Description

As an SAP Basis Administrator at Micron, the successful candidate will

take a lead role in solution planning, provisioning, virtualization, monitoring, capacity planning, software upgrades and operations. The work required in this position is enterprise-wide, with a high degree of complexity relative to planning, sizing, installation, configuration, and optimization of all SAP Netweaver based technologies and systems. This individual will provide technical leadership for critical projects as well as higher level production support while interfacing with internal IT teams as well as team abroad. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Participate in the planning of solutions and administer technologies within the Basis environment for various projects and services; Install and release new services into the Production environment in accordance with standards and project and operational requirements; Establish and manage proactive alerting of performance and capacity issues, including establishing and adjusting alert thresholds, and tracking and remediating exceptions to them; Configure and maintain systems and documentation to accurately reflect current state; Performs system tuning to meet metric based service level objectives.

Qualifications

Successful Candidates for this position will have:
·

Bachelor's or higher level degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline

·

3-5 years SAP BASIS Administration experience in a production support environment preferred

·

3-5 years experience in supporting multiple SAP implementations and upgrades (e.g. SAP ECC, SCM, CRM, SRM, NetWeaver, SAP Portal, BI, Business Objects, XI and related SAP modules preferred.

·

Knowledge of standard SAP maintenance activities - support packs, enhancement packs, kernel upgrades, client copies, monitoring, transports, etc.

·

Ability to install, upgrade and configure SAP applications. Ability to install, upgrade and configure SAP applications.

·

Ability to work with diverse teams including 3rd party resources in remote locations.

·

Ability to provide strong facilitation across multiple teams.

·

Strong written and oral communication skills and an open communication style.

·

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

·

Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure, deliver quality results within standards and meet deadlines.

·

Ability to deal with ambiguity and multiple priorities.

·

Able to work in a global organization respecting regional and local cultural and organizational differences.

·

Experience with enterprise ticketing solutions (e.g. BMC Remedy), formal troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques, and networking technologies a plus

·

Knowledge of ITIL processes required (v3). ITIL certification is a plus.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent related experience.
