We have a permanent hire opportunity with our Client located in Denver, Colorado. This is an immediate need for an SAP FICO Functional Lead.

To do this job well you must have
Four years or more of experience in developing, configuring, and implementing business requirements in the SAP FICO environment (SAP/R3 6.0 or greater)

This SAP FICO Functional Lead exists to serve as senior authority by providing a unique level of knowledge and expertise in configuration and customization support for the Finance and Controlling (FICO) functionality within the SAP system. The CIO and ERP Manager will routinely rely on this position for essential consultation regarding technical possibilities within FICO before deciding broad, critical program and policy direction. This position will issue expert opinions based upon best practices and expertise within SAP's FICO module as well as tried and tested industry principals of Information Technology . Following program decisions based on the senior authority of this position, the ERP Manager will rely on this position to design and implement the technical solutions required utilizing development techniques and concepts as described within accepted Information Technology prinicipals. Co-workers consider this position to be an SAP expert and this position is often consulted for SAP advice regarding how to approach issues and new functionality initiatives in modules other than FICO. This position must be able to think outside of the box and formulate sound solutions to complex SAP issues.
FICO and PBF Analysis, Configuration and Customization
As a top-level individual contributor, this position will manage the technical projects and tasks with regards to SAP's FICO module With Business Owners and Business Process Experts, this position will define the scope and objectives for initiatives and projects as they relate to the FICO module, keeping in mind that all changes in an integrated system, such as SAP have the possibility of affecting other functionality. Estimate resource requirements for initiatives and project to the SAP FICO module. Track and manage tasks and resources required for successful implementation of initiatives and projects with regards to SAP's FICO module. Document solutions and lessons learned for initiatives and projects implemented to correct or enhance the SAP, specifically with regards to the FICO module.

FICO Technical Analysis
Translate policies, requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications for the FICO module. Assist Business Process Experts in properly documenting business requirements. Ensure documentation of changes to and within the FICO module is created or updated as necessary. Coordinate with Business Process Experts and Business Process Owners when help requests/tickets are received from users that cannot be resolved at the process level and require technical resolution. Troubleshoot and resolve technical errors for the FICO module. Resolution of technical errors will require specific expertise skills in development techniques and a very high level of knowledge within the FICO module itself. Research technical issues for FICO module via SAP Marketplace and other SAP research avenues.

FICO Configuration
Configure FICO module to ensure integrity with full implementation of SAP. Create and modify or assist Business Process Experts in the creation and modification of custom fields and tables required to accommodate functionality requested by Business Process Owners. Create and modify configurations and settings within the FICO module to accommodate Workflow requirements requested by Business Process Owners.

FICO Reports, Workflow and ABAP Development
To expedite development efforts, design and program prototype FICO Reports in the SAP Sandbox environment utilizing SAP reporting techniques in conjunction with CDOT's determined reporting strategy. Development mechanisms will include SAP's ABAP development tool, SAP's BW tools and other reporting tools. Document programming requirements and provide recommendations to SAP Development Team. Provide development recommendations to offices, such as Office of Accounting, Office of Management and Budget, Project Development in their development efforts which require FICO interfaces or data. Provide development recommendations for Workflow functionality required for the FICO module based upon prototype development efforts in the SAP Sandbox environment Assist in the programming and modification of development objects utilizing SAP's ABAP development tool and other development tools as determined by the Department.

PBF Integrated Planning Configuration
Program/configure PBF module for Benefits Allocation functionality to ensure integrity with full implementation of SAP Create and modify custom fields and tables required to accommodate functionality requested by Business Process Owners To expedite development efforts, design and program prototype PBF Reports in the SAP Sandbox environment utilizing SAP reporting techniques in conjunction with determined reporting strategy. Development mechanisms include SAP's PBF Integrated Planning development tool and other reporting tools as determined by the Department. Document programming requirements and provide recommendations to SAP development team. Assist in the programming and modification of development objects utilizing SAP's PBF Integrated Planning development tool and other development tools as determined by the Department. Provide primary technical expertise for the implementation of the PBF functionality as it relates to existing benefits allocation functionality in the SAP FICO module. The position has learned the Integrated Planning configuration technical aspects of the PBF functionality for Benefits Allocation as part of the project.

FICO and PBF Quality Assurance
Design, document, receive sign-off from business process experts and business process owners and execute unit tests to assure quality of configuration and development efforts implemented to meet business requirements. Following the completion of new configuration or new development objects, prior to the quality assurance testing to be done by business process experts, thorough unit testing must be completed in the development environment. These tests will be designed during the analysis phase of development and executed once development is complete. These tests will be documented thoroughly to ensure quality and consistency if changes are necessary It will also be expected that this position will coordinate the integration and regression testing conducted by business process experts affected by the changes to be implemented. This position will review test plans and test results submitted by the business process expert responsible for FICO and PBF Benefits Allocation. In addition, this position may be required to review test plans and test results submitted by team members working on other modules of SAP. FICO is a cornerstone module and is affected and can affect other modules within this integrated system.

Provide Technical Expertise for Training Materials
As part of the release strategy for enhancements or corrections made to the SAP system or as part of the PBF implementation, it will be necessary to update existing training materials or create new training materials. This position will be responsible for working with the ERP Training Coordinator and the FICO/PBF Benefits Allocation Business Process Expert(s) to provide technical expertise in the development and review of training materials.
