Genesis10 is currently seeking a SAS/Unix Developer for an industry leading Health and Wellness organization to join their permanent team in Minneapolis, MN.
Description:
Our client has an SAS data warehouse that provides data analytics for all of their financials for Client Site. They are looking for another resource to join their team and work under one of their SAS experts. They are being very flexible and would consider someone who has very strong Unix operating system, scripting background with some even Base SAS skills and would be willing to further train them in SAS. Client may also consider a more midlevel SAS resource with the SAS programming skills and experience on the SAS Enterprise BI platform, including Information Delivery Portal, OLAP Builder, Enterprise Miner and Forecast Server.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, or operate comprehensive data warehouse systems to balance optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors, according to customer requirements.
Develop data warehouse process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction.
Create or implement metadata processes and frameworks.
Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.
Design and implement data structures.
Develop and implement data extraction procedures from other systems
Develop or maintain standards, such as organization, structure, or nomenclature, for the design of data elements
Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts
Will be working closely with financial team for reporting with a lot of ad-hoc reporting involved
Financial requests come from: collections, invoicing, billing, aging reports, reconciliation, etc. so related experience is a plus.
Pulling from DB2, Oracle, Access into SAS.
Will be working with Stored procedures to pull data into SAS Web Report Studio.
Will be developing dashboards.
Typical Day:
The infrastructure person will be responsible for daily maintenance and user support of a large scale SAS BI installation on a UNIX environment.
UNIX file and folder security, SFTP execution between environments, promotion of code through SDLC environments, corporate scheduling and future infrastructure planning and design.
Daily monitoring of processing (CPU), disk utilization and writing/running UNIX scripts for environment integrity.
Requirements quantified by years:
5+ years professional systems maintenance experience in a UNIX environment.
3+ year's strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.
2+ year's shell programming expertise.
Bachelors degree
3+ year's Base SAS, SAS/Connect, SAS Data Access (Oracle, Tandem, DB@, Terradata), SAS Enterprise Guide
