This position is for an Electronics Technician supporting test facilities at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, CA. The incumbent will work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing one or a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing of instrumentation systems. This includes printed circuit boards, electronic equipment, telemetry instrumentation, test equipment, and assembly of wiring harnesses.
Must be Proficient in soldering components manually on printed circuit boards
Experience in fabricating cable harnesses
Must be able to perform simple or routine tasks in working on electronic equipment and components
A minimum of two years electronics experience is required
Specific experience with the maintenance and operation of electronic equipment and components related to airborne instrumentation, calibration, electronic warfare, or computation and control systems is desired.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of technical or trade school
OR advanced armed services technical school curriculum course in electricity, electronics, avionics mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology;
OR completion of at least 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of courses at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum
