SDLC and Quality Assurance Manager

Position Title: SDLC and Quality Assurance Manager (Falls Church, VA and Washington, DC)

Security Requirements: Agency Suitability

Position Summary: Sevatec is seeking a SDLC and Quality Assurance Manager to support two primary task areas for a federal agency:

System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Governance and IT Development Management

Software Quality Assurance

Responsibilities:
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Governance and IT Development Management

Support FMCSA in integrating process, project and IT development management practices and procedures

Refining and operating SDLC Governance and IT Development Management practices and procedures

Developing and refining templates for the full Systems Development Life Cycle Management (SDLCM) process

Performing independent verification and validation and review of artifacts for the full SDLCM process

Recommending best practices and improvements in practices and procedures for the SDLCM process

Supporting governance operations for the full SDLCM process

Supporting integration of governance, EA, security, investment planning, and performance reporting practices and procedures

Support program and project management for new and existing investments throughout the full SDLC.

Conduct impact assessments and reviews of proposed investments, products and technologies

Software Quality Assurance

Support the client in maintaining and updating its software quality assurance process and ensure it is implemented agency-wide

Utilizing the Quality Assurance Concept of Operations and other guidance
to maintain a software quality assurance process that includes the overall process model, project level software quality assurance processes, roles and responsibilities, checklists and metrics, the reporting process, and continuous software quality improvement processes.

Working with client project personnel and contractors to ensure the software quality assurance process is consistent with objectives and available resources.

Supporting project managers with developing, facilitating and organizing review sessions and reporting and acting on session feedback.

Developing, maintaining and updating software quality assurance training materials.

Providing guidance and support to FMCSA projects while implementing the provisions of the software quality assurance process.

Maintaining, updating and revising the Software Quality Assurance Handbook and Software Quality Assurance Directive.

Providing applications for tracking and reporting for software quality assurance and making revisions, as necessary.

Identifying, documenting and communicating issues and areas of concern in software quality and project management and reviewing them with the client.

Required:
Superb written communication skills.

Ability to consistently work and communicate with a team and work well independently.

Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in image editing software, Adobe product suite a plus.
Ticketing system experience.
Software testing experience.
Ability to multi-task.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
US Citizenship required
