Performs general secretarial tasks to include: typing memorandums, letters from notes or rough drafts, charts and reports with considerable latitude regarding format; researches, maintains and updates files, correspondence, records and reports; requests prior Child Protective Service (CPS) history files from other offices; screens visitors and telephone calls; answers routine questions and furnishes information with courtesy and tact; orders supplies; inputs timesheets; screens incoming correspondence and routes to appropriate staff member; participates in meetings, takes notes; performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): KNOWLEDGE of: basic office and clerical procedures; written correspondence, including style and formatting requirements; file maintenance. SKILL in: typing letters; collecting and formatting information according to general instructions; using general office equipment. ABILITY to: follow written and oral instructions; use various computer applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); deal with the public using appropriate tact and resourcefulness.
NOTE: Applicants for this position shall be subject to a search of the Child Protective Services Central Registry. Applicants for this position will be required to apply for and show proof of receipt of a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card.
