Responsible for performing secretarial and general office duties. Coordinates all clerical functions and provides clerical support for an assigned office and/or department.
Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.
Job Qualifications (required):
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Minimum two years previous office experience or completion of an approved secretarial or business office program required.
Must be able to type at least 40 WPM and operate basic office equipment.
Required for Research Department only:
Some experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Job Qualifications (preferred):
Ability to type 50 WPM.
Preferred for Research Department only:
One year of experience working in an education/medical research setting.
Some experience in preparation of grant materials for governmental agencies such as NIH, NSF
Some experience in web site maintenance
Some experience in preparing manuscripts for professional journals.
Some experience with Reference Manager
Preferred for Cardiology only:
Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
Experience as a cardiology secretary
