This position is responsible for the day to day operation of our office. This includes reconciling pcard charges, entering travel, requititions, payroll, receiving calls, and assisting office manager.

Responsible for reconciling pcard charges, entering travel requests and reimbursement requests, entering requisitions, correcting payroll issues, entering all charges into the budget system, assisting with inventory, ordering supplies, and other miscelleaneous administrative needs.

Receive and transfer incoming phone calls and takes accurate messages when necessary. Welcome and assists visitors. Direct visitors and callers to the appropriate person to help them, which includes checking with their county extension agent and EDIS .

Utilize Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare manuscripts for publications and/or presentations. As well as other items needed by faculty such as plot plans, tables, slides, memos and letters.

Assist faculty with sending faxes, photocopying, laminating, and preparing materials for presentations. Also assists faculty with updating computer applications and with minor computer malfunctions.

Assist Office Manager when needed with miscellaneous tasks and serves as a back-up for the Office Manager, in her absence.

Record weather readings daily; summerize weather data monthly and distribute to faculty; formats faculties annual weather report for printing and for the web.

Prepare outgoing mail, sort and distribute incoming mail. Prepare and keep records of Federal Express shipping.

Responsible for checking in all new students and assuring that they see the correct people for safety training, getting social security card when needed, and getting into the payroll system.

Assist with meetings, which includes ordering supplies, preparing and serving food, sending invitations, and registrations.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and two years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Attainment of a score of at least 35 cwpm on an approved typing test.
