The Internal Audit team is comprised of Financial and IT Auditors and is responsible to apprise senior management and the Audit Committee on the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment within the business areas. The Senior Auditor will be responsible for assisting and conducting Integrated, Financial, and Operational audits based on a risk based methodology and execution of all aspects of an audit: planning, process flows, audit program, fieldwork, report writing, and presentation to audit management.
The Internal Audit group is highly visible in the organization and candidate must be able to present and translate audit results and business terminology to business management. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of business management and with other members of the Internal Audit group.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Execute all aspects of risk based audit for Integrated, Financial, and Operational audits.
Execution of various special projects and corporate initiatives.
Complete all assignments within budgeted timeframe.
Clearly present and translate audit results and business terminology to business management.
Utilize project tracking tools to improve audit efficiencies.
Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities during completion of audit.
Assist Internal Audit Management in the administrative duties of the department.
Accomplish department goals and strives to implement innovative ideas.
Build and maintain relationships as key audit partner with all levels of business management and other members of the Internal Audit team.
Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Enthusiastic to learn about and contribute to a diverse retail business.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or other appropriate major. CIA, CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of meaningful experience, with a minimum of 1 year experience as In-Charge auditor. Previous experience in big 4 or public accounting is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; able to express complex ideas in simple terms; well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to challenge; very strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to rapidly assimilate knowledge of retail processes.
Ability to partner with other Financial and IT Auditors and work as a team.
Most be proactive, take initiative, and present a high level of business acumen.
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines.
20% of travel
Retail background is highly desirable.
