SENIOR COUNSEL,LICENSING(Job Number: 1300952)
Immediate opening for a senior transactional/intellectual property licensing attorney who has four (4) or more years relevant experience. Candidates must be able to structure, draft and negotiate complex business agreements (including pharmaceutical licensing agreements, international joint ventures and co-promotion agreements). Candidates will enjoy heavy interaction with corporate executives, and must be business savvy and able to work effectively under limited supervision. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and legal skills and be able to identify and resolve critical legal issues. Knowledge of intellectual property and tax law and pharmaceutical regulatory issues, as well as significant experience performing similar work for one or more pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, are required. Excellent writing and speaking skills and business judgment required, as well as a collaborative work style. Must have high integrity, ability to assess risk, ability to make decisions and think strategically, command respect, knowledge of applicable legal issues, and a strong work ethic. Must be committed to the Company's missions and values. Equity investment, venture capital experience, international experience, diagnostic product legal experience, and/or patent bar experience a plus, but not required. The position reports to the chief counsel for the corporate development, business development, licensing and external science and technology groups.
Doctoratedegree in Jurisprudence with 4+ years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Member in a State Bar required. Law Firm or Corporate In-House experience required.
