Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides database programming and administration support to a wide range of projects within an Agile, Matrixed lab environment, developing portlets, web services, and APIs. Develop XML translations and data mappings, software deployment procedures, and smoke tests. Support and analyze existing software solutions for enterprise capability and reusable components.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience as a database developer, and at least 2 years of experience as a database administrator, preferably on DoD systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and mySQL database experience. SOA database integration experience is preferred.
In addition to database development and administration experience, candidate must have multidiscipline knowledge and experience, consisting of at least one of the following, in addition to database administration and development: Information Assurance, Software and Systems Testing, Systems Integration or Software Development. Security+, MCSA, RHCT, or other certifications desired but not required. SOA database certifications also desired, but not required.
OR: If an advanced degree, such as a masters in engineering, computer science, or BS/BA in Management Information Systems/Science, the candidate must have at least three (3) years general experience held in the area of engineering and/or computer science.
Non-degreed candidates with appropriate experience will be considered.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
