ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Healthcare Statistician manages and analyzes data in support of behavioral health and wellness program development, evaluation and outcomes initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

This statistician develops regression models, risk stratification and adjustment methods, conducts studies of clinical outcomes, evaluates program cost effectiveness and reports results to internal and external stakeholders. The analyst must have a strong understanding of health care data and claims coding standards, demonstrate creativity in applying analytical and statistical methods, be highly proficient at working with complex data, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Position Requirements:

Education:

A master’s degree in public health, economics, statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, psychology or management with a quantitative emphasis is required.

Relevant Work Experience:

At least 5 years of analytical experience is required, including background with R and SAS. PL/SQL programming experience is a strong plus, as is experience in a research, insurance, behavioral health or other healthcare setting.

This position may be located in Norfolk, VA, Reston, VA, Rocky Hill, CT, or Boston, MA.
