Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer

We are searching for a Senior Mechanical Piping Designer
for our Monroeville, PA location. This position will
provide piping and mechanical engineering expertise of
design services for chemical and power piping systems;
HVAC systems; material handling systems; and general
arrangements for industrial and commercial projects. In
additional, the successful candidate will carry out with
the assigned team, all engineering and design works of
mechanical power projects, working with hardware,
software and other engineering personnel providing
technical support and oversight of systems design and
development projects. The ideal candidate will see that
engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings,
specifications, analysis) comply with applicable
government regulations and standards; and that required
reviews and approvals are provided and documented. The
incumbent will also, in conjunction with the Project
Manager, initiate written change requests for job-hour
budgets, schedules and construction commodity
quantities, when required.
Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE is
required. Minimum of eight years of related experience
in mechanical engineering, including detailed knowledge
of oil and gas industry, including process and
mechanical standard graphical symbols is preferred. The
successful candidate will be experienced in directing
the creation of drawings, drawing checking and in the
preparation of construction documentation such as bills
of material. In addition, the candidate will have
knowledge of industrial process piping design and
understanding of oil and gas pipeline system design.
Experience should include the design and develop of
drawings for industrial piping and oil and gas pipelines
system and the design of drawings for piping and
pipeline associated equipment such as valves and other
in-line equipment in accordance with industry and client
standards. Must be capable of working with other
technical design staff in a team environmental and
participate in day-to-day design activities. Experience
with proposals and scope of work preparation and project
documentation is also preferred.
