SENIOR SCIENTIST I(Job Number: 1204044)
We are seeking a highly motivated and productive scientist with expertise in the area of protein separation science, to join in our development and commercial efforts to develop and support chromatographic analysis of proteins. In support of manufacturing and development of biotechnology products, Analytical Development is seeking a candidate to provide method development and testing support using HPLC/UPLC applications including CEX, peptide mapping and carbohydrate analysis. The successful candidate will develop, optimize, qualify and validate Bioseparations methods to support all phases of development including commercial testing. Will prepare scientific reports, analyze, present and document results to support all development and commercial programs. Contribute to continuous improvement for analytical support across the biologics organization. Other responsibilities will include some instrument maintenance.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or MS in biochemistry,chemistry or equivalent field and a minimum of 6 and 9 years experience respectively in Biopharmaceutical method development and testing. Demonstrated expertise in method development and analysis of proteins. Must have excellent communication skills, strong problem solving skills, ability to interface as a team player in diverse settings and multitask. The ability to give clear and concise oral and written communications. Preference will be given to candidates having direct experience with HPLC and UPLC protein method development including relevant data systemsand software. Possess a high level of method development skill, critical thinking and data analysis, high energy, independence, creativity, a strong desire to learn new areas, and the ability to work in a highly dynamic, transparent, integrated development organization. An advantage with demonstrated ability to supervise direct and or matrix reports. 1 year GMP experience is desired.
