Algorithm development is involved with mathematical and statistical data analysis and whose members have domain knowledge in machine learning, signal/image processing, data mining, and artificial intelligence. The group is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer who is capable of participating in defining and implementing new product or enhancing current designs of software modules and components that meet functional specifications and targeted due dates. The incumbent collects, interprets and documents system requirements; leads and/or participates in component, subsystem and system concept designs verifying key design parameters and evaluating design options; develops and recommends methods, tools and designs for software development process improvement or development cost reduction; summarizes and presents details of designs, analytical methods and results; and leads and/or participates on multi-functional product research and development teams, product and/or system design reviews.
The employee will be involved in every step of the software lifecycle, including development plan, user needs, requirement/specification, architecture design, detailed software design, code implementation, verification and validation, product deployment, product maintenance, and tool development. Knowledge of object oriented programming is required.
Experience or Educational Requirements:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Knowledge Discovery, Data Mining, Machine Learning, or the equivalent analytical domain and 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in object-oriented programming is required.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Experience in MATLAB preferred but not required.
Experience working in a FDA regulated environment preferred but not required.
