Performs supervisory duties in any of a large variety of departments and functions, with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising assigned functions and activities to help achieve department/section objectives.

Ensures that all staff have completed payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Developes training documents for each position within the property room and coordinates training for each new employee.
Completes daily diaries for each employee and completes necessary performance reviews.
Counsels and discipline staff when necessary.
Investigates claims for lost property and / or money.
Ensures procedures are in place to maintain inmate property in a secure environment.
Conducts quality control audits of property and procedures.
Monitors processes for disposal of abandoned property.
Ensure that procedures are in place to provide accurate documentation for use during court proceedings.
Develop a system to ensure that all property is accounted for during periods of computer failure or natural disasters.
Review all daily paperwork generated by the property room staff.
Create daily staff rosters for ensuring that all posts are manned.
Ensures that all inmate requests are answered in a timely manner.
Audits staff performance by utilizing all available video and photo archives.
Ensures that all procedures, paperwork and property areas meet or exceed current accreditation standards.
Orders supplies necessary for the daily operation of the property room.
Prepares / Reviews Budget for Property Section.
Performs other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Working knowledge of the functions, activities, requirements and objectives of the specific program/functional area to which assigned.
Skill in the application of supervisory techniques.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others within and outside own organization.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to use initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
May require specialized technical knowledge of a specific operational area and the ability to perform or supervise specialized work in that specialty area.
Note: Minimum Qualifications MUST be attained before the recruitment ending date.
Bachelor's degree: and
One year of supervisory or lead worker/team leader experience in information or control systems.
Associate's degree; and
Three years of experience in information or control systems; two years of which must have been in a supervisory or lead worker/team leader capacity.
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Four years of experience in information or control systems; two years of which must have been in a supervisory or lead worker/team leader capacity.
OPEN AND CLOSED RECRUITMENTS : We are running concurrent Closed (Internal) and Open recruitments. Internal candidates on a closed eligibility list must be considered first, prior to a selection being made from the open eligibility list. To be considered for the same classification under Open recruitment, internal candidates must also apply under the open recruitment process.
